From National Library Week to Diá, April is a special time for libraries. This April, we invite public and school libraries nationwide to join us in our first annual April Library Love Challenge! This special challenge provides an opportunity to encourage reading, promote resources, and celebrate all the amazing things libraries and librarians do for their communities.
The April Library Love Challenge is available in traditional or bingo format and runs from April 1-30. Participating public and school libraries will have a chance to win a Beanstack tote bag full of buttons, stickers, and other goodies to share throughout the year.
An Opportunity for Gratitude and Acknowledgment
Celebrate National Library Week from April 6-12, and soak up the spotlight with National Library Works Day on April 8th. This challenge gives readers an opportunity to express gratitude or share shoutouts for their favorite staff members. It’s all about acknowledging the unique contributions of libraries and the dedicated staff that keep things running day after day!
Invite Your Community to Explore All the Library Has to Offer
Participants can earn badges by logging books or minutes, attending programs, and discovering unique library resources. Special activities, like saying thank you to a local librarian and reading a book to a young person, provide meaningful ways to highlight your library’s offerings and foster community engagement.
Join Us This April
Libraries are the heart of a community! From offering books and providing internet access, to being a safe and warm place to relax, or simply having a smiling librarian help you find your next great read, libraries offer it all. Beanstack loves libraries, and we’re excited to spend a month celebrating them!
