Position Overview

The Beanstack reading fundraiser product empowers schools and libraries to facilitate engaging and impactful reading fundraisers. Our mission is to engage students in reading while raising much-needed funds for schools. As a Parent Ambassador, you will play a vital role in promoting and facilitating these fundraisers within your local community.

As a Parent Ambassador, you will be the face of our reading fundraiser program in your local area, working with Parent Teacher Associations and Organizations (PTAs/PTOs) to organize and promote reading fundraisers. This is a flexible position with an hourly salary plus commission, making it an ideal opportunity for motivated parents looking to make a positive impact on local schools while earning extra income.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outreach and Promotion: Establish connections with local PTA/Os to introduce and promote reading fundraisers.
  • Enroll Schools for Fundraising Events: Work closely with schools and organizations to set up and manage reading fundraiser events. Work with local school operations and leadership and a Beanstack implementation specialist to successfully onboard schools via tools like ClassLink or Clever.
  • Community Engagement and Promotion: Be the point of contact for parent leaders, providing them with information and encouraging participation in their fundraisers. Provide schools with Beanstack resources to successfully promote their reading fundraisers, including communications timelines and materials, as well as ideas and inspiration based on what has worked well at other schools.
  • Track and Report Out Performance: Monitor the success of each fundraiser, track participation rates, report on funds raised, and highlight successes and failures to improve future outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Passion for Education: A strong belief in the importance of reading and education.
  • Community Involvement: Active in your local school or PTA, with established connections in the community.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with school officials and parent leadership.
  • Self-Motivated: Ability to work independently, set your own goals, and manage your own time effectively.
  • Sales Experience (Preferred but not required): Experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing is a plus but not required.

Compensation

  • This role is an independent contractor role providing $30 per hour, plus commission. You will earn 5-10% commission based on the funds raised from each reading fundraiser you enroll and support.
